Martín Planes, Manager in the Public Policy, Risk & Strategy practice at Cefeidas Group, was featured in Latin America Advisor, a publication of the Inter-American Dialogue, where he shared his views on Argentina’s recently approved labor reform and its implications for the country’s political and investment climate.
In his comments, Martín highlighted that the reform represents an important milestone for the current Congress and part of a broader reform agenda that will shape Argentina’s political debate in the run-up to the next electoral cycle. He also noted that the initiative seeks to increase predictability for investors and promote formal employment through changes to severance mechanisms, labor litigation frameworks, and the regulation of new forms of work.
At the same time, he emphasized that the short-term impact of the reform will largely depend on its implementation and the legal and political challenges it may face.
