Green hydrogen: Brazil, Latin America’s “green Saudi Arabia” outperforms Chile, Colombia and the rest of the region

Carlos Cruz Infante, Country Manager for Chile and Peru at Cefeidas Group, remarked, “There is still appetite to invest in Chile and Latin America—with Colombia, Uruguay, and Argentina as other interesting markets—but these countries must ensure that delays do not drive investors and companies toward more profitable operations.”

Both countries remain crucial to the global green energy transition, with significant potential for future growth. As the race for green hydrogen intensifies, the success of these projects will shape the region’s role in the global energy landscape.
