In an article published by Bloomberg on June 8, managing director of Cefeidas Group, Juan Cruz Díaz, was quoted on Argentine President Alberto Fernández’s announcement that the government would take over bankrupt agroindustrial company Vicentín for 60 days and then move to expropriate it.
“There’s a certain belief, especially among independent and small producers who have been quite damaged by Vicentin’s failure, that the company needed to be saved in some way,” said Juan Cruz Diaz, director of political consulting firm Cefeidas Group in Buenos Aires.
