In an Inter-American Dialogue presentation and panel discussion, Cefeidas Group’s Managing Director Juan Cruz Díaz provided insights into the main regulatory, political and infrastructure challenges to investing in the oil and gas sector in Argentina.
“Energy in Argentina: A New Investment Climate”, held in Washington D.C on March 15, brought together a number of panelists to discuss the Macri administration’s key energy policy priorities.
After Ambassador of Argentina to the US Martin Lousteau opened the session, the panel of experts discussed what measures the government is taking to increase oil and gas investment in Argentina, how Argentina and the US can expand energy cooperation and what lessons Argentina can learn from the US shale experience.
The panel included Martin Lousteau; Robin Dunnigan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy at the US State Department’s Bureau of Energy Resources; Jed Bailey, Managing Partner at Energy Narrative and Energy; and Lisa Viscidi, Climate Change & Extractive Industries Program Director at the Inter-Amercian Dialogue.
