Most codes of best practice in corporate governance require directors to undergo periodic training to improve their knowledge and skills, so they can become better leaders and change agents of their companies. Mr. Santiago Chaher coordinated for the Global Corporate Governance Forum the 2010 “training of trainers” (ToT) with the support of IBGC in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Board Leadership Training program builds capacity of trainers who, in turn, train board directors in emerging-market and developing countries.
