María Martínez Frugoni, Finance & Administration Manager
María Martínez Frugoni is Finance & Administration Manager at Cefeidas Group. Before joining Cefeidas Group, she worked at Molinos Rio de la Plata, a leading Latin American food products company, in both the Merger & Acquisitions and Trade Marketing areas. Prior to that, she was a Senior Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning sector of S.C. Johnson & Son and a Senior Consultant at Paradigma, a management, processes, and systems consultancy. Mrs. Martínez Frugoni is a specialist in business development and merger and acquisitions processes. She graduated from the Universidad de Belgrano in Argentina with a degree in Economics. She also holds graduate degrees from the Universidad del Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos de Argentina (CEMA) and the Universidad de Belgrano in Corporate Finance and Business Development.
Louisa Richey, Practice Leader – Manager
As Practice Leader, Louisa Richey leads Cefeidas’ team analyzing Argentina’s political, economic and trade environment to enable international clients to make informed decisions about their investments in the region. Louisa worked as an analyst at the Defence Intelligence Organisation – the Australian Government’s strategic-level, all-source defence intelligence assessment agency – from 2009–2013. In 2011, she was seconded to work for six months on an Independent Review for the Australian Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet. She has also worked at the Australian Government Solicitor, Australia’s leading provider of legal services to government. Louisa holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations and History) from the Australian National University.
Soledad Aroz, Specialist
Soledad Aroz is an analyst at Cefeidas Group, where she assesses companies’ corporate governance standards and provides legal analysis regarding best practices for both local and international corporations. Soledad is also a Junior Associate at Cefeidas Group’s sister company, Diaz, Elias & Chaher Abogados (DECH), a specialized legal firm based in Buenos Aires (dechlaw.com). Prior to joining Cefeidas, she worked as an intern as part of the judicial system of Mendoza Province. Soledad was also a tutor at the National University of Cuyo and regularly participated in moot courts, such as the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Soledad graduated as a lawyer from the National University of Cuyo in 2014 and spent a semester abroad in Spain, at the University of Jaén.
Adriana Garcés, Senior Analyst
At Cefeidas Group, Adriana analyzes Argentina’s political, economic and regulatory environment as part of the Political Risk Team. Outside of Cefeidas, Adriana collaborates with the International Association of Political Science Students as a Career Center Coordinator. Adriana previously worked in Ecuador as an independent political consultant at Prime Consulting and as a research assistant for the Latin American Public Opinion Project. She has also worked as a teaching assistant for a number of political science courses. Adriana holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations (Cum Laude) from the University of San Francisco Quito. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science at the Torcuato Di Tella University.
Taylor Dieffenbach, Analyst
Taylor Dieffenbach is an analyst at Cefeidas Group, supporting the Corporate Governance, Merger & Acquisition, and Political Risk functions. Prior to joining our team, Taylor held an analyst position with JP Morgan’s investment bank from 2014–2015, where he worked to reconcile failed international fixed-income trades. Previously, he has worked with Delaware Biotechnology Institute conducting research on soil-microorganisms and the associated carbon economy. Taylor graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Plant Science and a Minor in Economics, where he also worked for the University of Delaware Writing Center tutoring undergraduate and graduate students in various disciplines of writing.
Ana Hilbert, Analyst
Ana provides support to the Corporate Governance & Compliance Practice, assisting with research, analysis and the implementation of corporate governance practices for our clients. Outside of Cefeidas, she also works as a research assistant at the University of San Andrés. Previously, Ana has worked as a volunteer for the Civil Association for Equality and Justice (ACIJ), monitoring public transparency projects. She is currently studying law at the University of San Andrés.
Heidi Lough, Analyst
Heidi assesses Argentina’s political, economic and regulatory environment as part of the Political & Regulatory Risks Practice. Prior to joining Cefeidas, Heidi worked as a freelance writer. Previously, she undertook research-based internships at Chatham House and at BP Europe’s headquarters in Brussels. Heidi is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, where she studied Modern Languages, spending a year in Italy as part of her degree, and graduating with First Class Honors in 2014.
