Is Argentina’s Low-Cost Airline Revolution Here to Stay?

On January 3, The Essential published a piece on Argentina’s changing airline industry written by Cefeidas Group’s political and regulatory risk lead specialist, Megan Cook.

Cook commented on how the Macri administration’s policy changes and the entry of low-cost carriers are affecting the outlook for Argentina’s airline industry:

“The Macri administration remains committed to promoting air travel. This commitment — combined with an apparent willingness from Argentines to fly more, especially as the perception that airfare is out of the reach of anyone but the upper-middle class begins to change — means that domestic air travel, and particularly low-cost flights, are set to grow in the short-term.”
