In an article written by Hugh Bronstein in Reuters that was later republished in the New York Times, on May 9, managing director of Cefeidas Group, Juan Cruz Díaz was quoted on President Mauricio Macri’s decision to seek a credit line from the International Monetary Fund.

Juan Cruz Díaz, a political analyst who runs the Cefeidas consultancy group in Buenos Aires, says “The government is aware of the costs. It is a step they would have preferred not to take. They are running the risk of deepening the decline in popularity…But this is the moment to make these difficult decisions.”
